Job description

About us

At MWS, we are on a mission to become the home of game-worn culture. We do this by connecting global fanbases to the ultimate fan item: match-worn and signed shirts from the world's biggest athletes and brands around the world. We accelerate engagement, interaction and revenue by enabling our customers to access pieces of sporting history, while raising funds for the causes that matter most to our partners. And the best part? We do it all live from the kick-off. With more than 400 partners globally, we are the outright market leaders in our industry. We see ourselves as innovators, constantly looking for new ways to surprise and delight our audience.

About the role

As our Business Development Intern, you'll support our commercial team across both MatchWornShirt and Frame The Game, helping us identify, establish and grow new business relationships.

You'll get hands-on experience working directly with our team, getting complete exposure to business development, sales materials and partnership management, and seeing your work directly shape how fans and collectors experience live sporting moments!

What you'll do

  • Sales Materials & Pitches: Support the creation of sales materials, from financial projections to pitch decks, to help bring MWS club conversations to life.

  • FTG Partnership Management: Act as a point of contact for Frame The Game partner clubs, managing framing requirements and processing orders to keep partnerships running smoothly.

  • Revenue Growth: Help grow both MWS and FTG revenue by supporting the Head of Business Development, Senior Commercial Strategy Manager and Business Development Executive.

  • New Opportunities: Assess ways of working and identify new revenue streams and business opportunities across both brands.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Develop excellent ways of working with internal stakeholders, sharing new ideas as you go.

What you bring

  • Education: Currently studying towards (or recently completed) a degree in a relevant field.

  • Availability: Ready for a 5 to 6 month internship starting in February.

  • Mindset: A proactive, hands-on self-starter with a total "can-do" attitude and great attention to detail.

  • Sports Passion: A genuine love for sports, football and fan culture, with a real interest in managing partnerships across the sports world.

  • Skills: At least 1 year of experience in sports and/or business, with strong time management and the ability to deliver quality work under pressure; becoming proficient with Figma to build best-in-class sales materials is a big plus.

  • Languages: Fluent in English (both written and spoken); any extra languages are a bonus!

  • Legal: EU passport or valid working rights for the Netherlands.

What We Offer

  • Informal and Sporty Environment: Work alongside a passionate, young, international team that lives and breathes sports culture.

  • Real Ownership and Impact: We don't do coffee runs. You'll get your own projects, real responsibility and plenty of space for your ideas.

  • Monthly Remuneration: An internship allowance of €500 per month.

  • Commute Support: Travel coverage of up to €200 per month to help get you to the office (depending on your location).

  • Paid Time Off: 5 paid days off during your 6-month internship to recharge.

  • On-Site Gym: Full access to our in-office gym with a personal trainer, free to use whenever you like!

  • Company Events: Awesome formal and informal team events, office drinks and social catch-ups throughout the year.

  • Location: Full-time based in our vibrant Amsterdam office.

Our procedure

  1. Introductory video call with our Talent Acquisition Manager (± 20 min).

  2. Assessment round (± 120 min).

  3. Interview round 1 (± 45-60 min).

  4. In-office interview round 2 (± 45-60 min).
