Job description

About us

At MWS, we are on a mission to become the home of game-worn culture. We do this by connecting global fanbases to the ultimate fan item: match-worn and signed shirts from the world's biggest athletes and brands around the world. We accelerate engagement, interaction and revenue by enabling our customers to access pieces of sporting history, while raising funds for the causes that matter most to our partners. And the best part? We do it all live from the kick-off. With more than 400 partners globally, we are the outright market leaders in our industry. We see ourselves as innovators, constantly looking for new ways to surprise and delight our audience.

About the role

As our Operations Intern, you will be right at the heart of our physical and digital operations, delivering excellent service to our global club partners and fans. You will manage the entire lifecycle of our auction items, from handling the inbound flow of shirts to authentication, product photography, framing, and worldwide shipping.

Based in our brand-new operations facility, you will get complete, hands-on exposure to rethinking and improving key supply chain workflows, ensuring every unique piece of sporting history is handled with absolute precision.

What you'll do

  • Inbound & Outbound Logistics: Optimize the inbound shirt flow from global clubs and partners, and coordinate global outbound shipping for shirt and frame orders.

  • Auction & Product Operations: Conduct product photography, handle the official authentication process, and prepare or frame shirts to meet our high quality standards.

  • Warehouse Optimization: Support internal logistics and warehouse operations while rethinking workflows across inventory management, supply chain, and cross-department collaboration.

  • Courier & Service Management: Communicate with international couriers and manage the day-to-day physical and digital inventory movement.

What you bring

  • Education: In the final year of your studies or recently graduated with a HBO degree in Operations, Logistics, or a related field.

  • Availability: Ready for a full-time (40 hours per week), 5–6 month internship starting in February.

  • Mindset: A hands-on doer with a proactive "can-do" attitude, high attention to detail, and a goal-oriented mindset.

  • Skills & Experience: Highly organized, flexible, precise in handling valuable memorabilia, and holding a valid driver's license. (Experience in a production/logistics environment is a plus!)

  • Languages: Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a great advantage.

  • Legal: EU passport holder or currently enrolled at a university in the Netherlands.

What We Offer

  • Informal and Sporty Environment: Work alongside a passionate, young, international team that lives and breathes sports culture.

  • Real Ownership and Impact: You'll get real responsibility, direct guidance on your assignment, and plenty of room to improve operations.

  • Monthly Remuneration: An internship allowance of €500 per month.

  • Commute Support: Travel coverage of up to €200 per month to help get you to the office (depending on your location).

  • Paid Time Off: 5 paid days off during your 6-month internship to recharge.

  • On-Site Gym: Full access to our onsite gym.

  • Company Events: Awesome formal and informal team events, office drinks, and social catch-ups throughout the year.

  • Location: Full-time based in our facility in Zaandam.

Our procedure

  1. Introductory video call with our Talent Acquisition Manager (± 20 min).

  2. Assessment round (± 120 min).

  3. In-office interview round (± 45-60 min).

  4. A phone call with our Head of Operations (± 15-30 min)
