Job description
About us
At MWS, we are on a mission to become the home of game-worn culture. We do this by connecting global fanbases to the ultimate fan item: match-worn and signed shirts from the world's biggest athletes and brands around the world. We accelerate engagement, interaction and revenue by enabling our customers to access pieces of sporting history, while raising funds for the causes that matter most to our partners. And the best part? We do it all live from the kick-off. With more than 400 partners globally, we are the outright market leaders in our industry. We see ourselves as innovators, constantly looking for new ways to surprise and delight our audience.
About the role
As the Videographer/Editor, you'll turn the stories behind our match-worn shirts and memorabilia into videos that make people stop, care and take action, creating content for MWS's own channels, campaigns, partnerships, product launches and auctions.
This is a hands-on role where you'll develop ideas, shoot, edit and deliver finished work, collaborating closely with the Creative Studio and Marketing team. In your first 6 to 12 months, you'll build repeatable video formats that show why each piece matters (the moment, the player, the provenance and the emotion of owning it), strengthen the MWS brand, support launches and auctions, and help us learn what works by testing hooks, formats and edits.
Your responsibilities include:
Video Production: Develop, shoot and edit video for social channels, campaigns, auction launches, product storytelling and brand projects.
Platform-Specific Versions: Create versions suited to different platforms and placements, with particular attention to the opening seconds, pacing, captions and call to action.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with the Creative Director, Marketing, Social, Partnerships and other teams to understand the brief, audience, timing and desired outcome.
Production Management: Manage the production process for your projects, including preparation, shooting, editing, feedback and final delivery.
Craft at Pace: Maintain a consistent standard of craft while working to the pace of a business with frequent launches.
Innovation: Explore new techniques and tools, including AI where useful, to improve the work or the production process.
Performance Learning: Review how content performs and bring recommendations for what to repeat, change or stop.
We are looking for the following skillset:
Experience: Around 3-5 years of relevant experience creating and editing video, with a portfolio that shows strong storytelling as well as technical craft. A specific degree is less important to us than the quality of your work and how you think.
Production Skills: Confidence shooting and editing independently, including sound, lighting and post-production, with strong skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and working knowledge of After Effects or comparable tools.
Short-Form Expertise: A good understanding of short-form video and how creative choices differ across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and paid placements.
Mindset: The ability to turn a brief into a clear idea and deliver polished work within realistic deadlines, with a curiosity about audiences and performance: you want to know whether the work connected, not just whether it was published.
Sports Passion: An interest in sport and fan culture, and the ability to tell stories that resonate beyond your own favourite team or sport.
Languages & Travel: Fluent in English and willing to travel for shoots when needed.
Legal: EU passport or valid working rights for the Netherlands.
What We Offer
Informal and Sporty Environment: An informal, international and sports-focused work environment.
Room for Initiative and Impact: Plenty of room for your ideas and the opportunity to make a real impact.
Hospitality seats: Enjoy a great match at one of our business seats at clubs all over the world.
Paid time off: Up to 29 paid days off per year to recharge.
On-site gym: Access to an in-office gym with a personal trainer, free to use at any time!
Commute coverage: Travel allowance coverage of €0,25 per km, or a NS Business Card, to support your commute.
All equipment you need: We provide you with a MacBook, mouse and keyboard of choice.
Company events: Multiple times per year we organise formal and not-so-formal events in our office and elsewhere.
Location & Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week, 9:00 to 18:00) based in our Amsterdam office, with the opportunity to work from home on Tuesdays and/or Fridays.
