Job description
About us
At MWS, we are on a mission to become the home of game-worn culture. We do this by connecting global fanbases to the ultimate fan item: game-used and signed shirts from the world's biggest athletes and brands around the world. We accelerate engagement, interaction, and revenue by enabling our customers to access pieces of sporting history, while raising funds for the causes that matter most to our partners. We do it all live from the moment the game starts. With more than 400 partners globally, we are the outright market leaders in our industry. We see ourselves as innovators, constantly looking for new ways to surprise and delight our audience.
About the role
As the Marketplace Executive, you are responsible for ensuring our platform consistently delivers a Gold Standard experience across all products. You will strike the perfect balance between premium presentation and the high speed required to capture live, real-time sporting moments.
Whether a fan is bidding €100 on the shirt of their local hero or €100,000 on a legendary collectible, you will ensure every single product receives the same level of care and elite presentation. By leveraging data, customer behavior, and experimentation, you will validate improvements that drive performance and help scale the marketplace as MWS expands into new sports, competitions, and global markets.
Your responsibilities include:
Marketplace Quality: Owning the day-to-day quality and visual presentation of the marketplace across all key customer touchpoints.
Content Management: Managing the marketplace content and keeping the platform highly engaging.
Gold Standard Protection: Maintaining and continuously improving our Gold Standard by proactively identifying and resolving quality issues before they affect the fan experience.
KPI Monitoring: Tracking marketplace performance and customer behavior to identify trends, opportunities, and key areas for optimization.
A/B Testing & CRO: Defining, executing, and evaluating experiments to directly improve fan engagement, conversion rates, and the overall platform experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinating closely with Marketing and Partnerships to ensure our campaigns, auctions, and storytelling are seamlessly represented.
Scalable Improvements: Collaborating with the Marketplace Performance Manager to translate analytical insights into scalable, long-term platform improvements.
We are looking for the following skillset:
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in E-commerce, Digital Merchandising, Content Management, CRO, or a similar digital role.
Platform Expertise: Practical experience working with CMS and e-commerce platforms. Experience with Storyblok and/or Dynamic Yield is a strong advantage.
Analytical Skills: Comfortable using analytics tools to support day-to-day decisions with hard data.
Education: A degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, or another relevant field.
Mindset: A strong ownership mindset with excellent attention to detail and a proactive drive to look for improvements.
Technical Competency: Practical understanding of CRO, experimentation, and digital merchandising workflows.
Legal: An EU passport or valid working rights for the Netherlands.
What We Offer
Informal and Sporty Environment: An informal, international, and sports-focused work environment.
Room for Initiative and Impact: Plenty of room for your ideas and the opportunity to make a real impact.
Hospitality seats: Enjoy a great match at one of our business seats at clubs all over the world.
Office gym with personal training: Available for you 5 days a week!
All equipment you need: We provide you with a MacBook, mouse, and keyboard of choice.
